Jason Webb
I grew up on our family’s property, “Silver Hills” in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, where we farmed sheep and cattle and bred horses for racing, polocrosse and for working the farm. From my early teens, I was helping my Dad and Grandfather start horses for the racetrack, jumping and the polocrosse pitch, as well as getting flung off the odd buckjumper or two at the local rodeo! Aside from chasing sheep and cattle around the place, I competed in a range of equestrian disciplines, and represented NSW at polocrosse at U21 and Men’s level.

I became increasingly interested in horse psychology and exploring different methods, old and new, for starting and training horses. After spending time with some of Australia's top horsemen, I began to develop my own style and set of beliefs, which are evolving (and improving!) to this day.

On a working holiday in 1999, I came to the UK, fell for the boss’s daughter and settled here permanently in 2002! Penny and I got married in 2004 and four years later we have a business and two kids, Jack and Rosie!

I grew up on Risebridge Farm and have ridden all my life. I represented the UK in polocrosse and played Hockey and netball to county level. I did a degree in Sports Science and Geography at Loughborough University and pursued a career in sports marketing with Octagon Marketing in London. I then decided to go to Australia to try and persuade Jason to come and live in England! After qualifying as a teacher, I am now teaching PE part-time at Marlborough House School whilst bringing up Jack and Rosie!

I have previously worked at Bedgebury Riding Centre, Chilham Park and in the US, which has involved a lot of instructing (I am working towards my BHSII!). I have enjoyed riding at a high level in a range of disciplines and am now learning how to play polocrosse on ‘Ruby’ who I now own.

Outside of horses, I’m kept very busy by my 5 year old son, Nathan, and of course enjoying the odd glass (bottle) of red wine!

Christie Skippen – Assistant Trainer
I worked for John Best Racing for four years where I became head Girl. During my time there, I worked with a hydrotherapy spa rehabilitating leg injuries, and travelled with horses to America, Dubai, France and Ireland.

I also spent time with Gary Witheford and Cathy Tindall, learning more about dealing with young and ‘problem’ horses.

I have my own three year old horse who I have just started and spend a lot of time walking my five dogs!
